Anne Bloom, PhD is the Executive Director of the Civil Justice Research Institute at the University of CA, Irvine. Previously, she was the Director of Public Programs at Equal Justice Works, Associate Director of the Civil Justice Program at Loyola Law School, and Associate Dean for Scholarship and Professor of Law at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. From 1988-2001, Anne practiced as a public interest lawyer in Washington, D.C., working first as a lobbyist, and then as a litigator. She holds both a J.D. and a PhD. in political science. Anne has written several articles on litigation and public policy that have been published in law reviews, books, and interdisciplinary journals on the legal profession. She also speaks frequently at conferences on litigation and public policy-related issues.
