Helenann Hirsch, JD

Helenann Hirsch is an attorney who has worked extensively in local, state and federal government, including in the Federal Labor Relations Authority and White House Office of Presidential Personnel in the Clinton Administration. She also worked at the California Women’s Law Center in Los Angeles where she focused on civil rights, legislative and employment issues and as an attorney in private practice with an emphasis on employment law. After graduating from the University of California Davis School of Law, Helenann clerked for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. She served in a myriad of community and volunteer capacities, including Chair and Board Member of the Los Angeles Conservation Corps where she helped create their Legal Service Program, Board Member of the Russell Kantor Foundation, and citizen panelist for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Neighborhood Justice Project. Helenann lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Philip Recht, and has two children.
