State Rules
Does your state have a voter ID law?
Registering to vote is not always enough! In 38 states, you may also need an ID to make your ballot count.
Every state has different rules, so what you need depends on where you live.
Some states will only accept an unexpired photo ID issued by the government. Other states accept more ID options, like a current utility bill or bank statement.
