Austin Fite, MD, is a retired Internal Medicine physician. He was one of the original partners of HealthCare Partners Medical Group, which began treating patients in the inner city of Los Angeles in 1975. The group grew over the next forty years to the point where it was able to serve more than a million patients in a coordinated care model of multispecialty physicians. Austin has been involved with philanthropy for many years, supporting Partners in Health and Doctors Without Borders, and he maintains a close relation with St. Jude, where he did research while in medical school. Austin also has a passion for politics, with a particular interest in voting integrity. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Tennessee Medical School, and completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA, followed by Internal Medicine residency at LAC-USC Medical Center.
